How do I delete “waiting” apps on my itouch?”?

I just got my itouch and I started to install a free four square app. It was in the featured section of the app store. But now it won’t even start to install. It’s stuck at “waiting” and it’s beeen like that for about a day and a half. I I try to install new apps then they too just yet put on the “waiting” list when that one foursquare appp still hasn installed. Please help.

Considering an Ipad ?
